The Nikon Ambassadors in this picture are some of the finest photographers in the world. In what is easily one of my proudest moments as a photographer, I have joined this elite and deeply talented group. To be among them is the honor of a lifetime.
My relationship with Nikon is long-standing and goes back to my first days as a photographer. The company has supported every workshop or event that I’ve ever been involved with and they have always gone out of their way to do the same for every photographer I know.
“The new camera will blow your mind when you see what it can do.”
Last week in New York, we were all briefed on some upcoming products and technologies that will change the way many of us make pictures. New cameras like the D5 and D500, the new radio-based SB-5000 Speedlight, and the DL Series cameras with SnapBridge are what many of us will be looking to acquire. (SnapBridge is finally going to end my frustration with camera phones and enable me to carry a serious camera, yet still be able to immediately post to Instagram and other social media.) But, the new KeyMission 360 camera will blow your mind when you see what it can do. Steve Heiner from Nikon and sports photographer Andrew Hancock made a video using the 360-degree camera that left everyone in the room absolutely speechless.
It’s going to be my privilege to be able to write and share about these new technologies in the coming months and hopefully provide some ideas on how they might give you an advantage as a photographer.
